On Instagram, Anfisa posted about her husband Jorge Nava’s prison sentencing in September. She says she’s trying to stay busy while he’s incarcerated. He was sentenced to 2 1/2 years.

The 90 Day Fiance star said in her December 2 IG post:

It has been very hard on me because Jorge and I are not just husband and wife but we are truly best friends.

We used to share everything with each other and since we aren’t together physically now and only get to talk to each other once a day it feels like a big part of me was taken away.

I don’t like to show my emotions to the public, especially if I believe that it will make me look weak and pathetic. It’s just the way I am – I’d rather be thought of as a ‘cold-hearted b—-‘ than a ‘crybaby.’

A lot of thoughts ⬇️ As you know(or maybe not know) my husband got sentenced to 2.5 years in prison on September 7(for details check out my YouTube channel). To be honest, it has been very hard on me because Jorge and I are not just husband and wife but we are truly best friends and we used to share everything with each other and since we aren’t together physically now and only get to talk to each other once a day it feels like a big part of me was taken away. I don’t normally talk about it because I don’t like to show my emotions to the public, especially if I believe that it will make me look weak and pathetic. It’s just the way I am – I’d rather be thought of as a “cold hearted bitch” than a “crybaby”. Now you are probably thinking ok what does this caption have to do with the pictures? And the answer is, to fill the void that I felt after Jorge was sentenced and I was left on my own I decided to try to stay busy and do what I enjoy the most and it was working out. And ONE DAY I want to take it on a higher level and compete in NPC bikini division. It feels frustrating when some of you try to knock me down for doing what I love and enjoy. I know that many of you started following me on social media after seeing #90DayFiance and you just want to see me post pictures with Jorge and talk about our relationship. Well, I’m just letting you know that I’m going in a different direction now, I’m not a part of #90DayFiance, so if you don’t want to see anything other than #90DayFiance related stuff and you want to keep commenting nasty things under my pictures, please unfollow me and move on. And to those who support me, I love you ❤️ and thank you 🙏 I’m very grateful to have people who are always cheering me up. I may not always reply to comments and DMs but I see you all. 😉

Why is 90 Day Fiance's Jorge Nava Now a Famous Prisoner?

Former reality TV star Jorge Nava was arrested on February 12 in Arizona. Police pulled him over in his car and found high-grade cannabis in his trunk. And it wasn't a small amount for personal use.

Nava was found in possession of 293 pounds of marijuana.

After spending two days in an Arizona jail, he was released on $25,000 bail.

According to the now famous prisoner, he was originally look at serving about 24 years in prison, or as he says, "some ridiculous number" like that. This was due to the fact that he had prior arrests and convictions for drug charges in California.

Eventually, his attorney was able to make a plea deal with the DA. His charge was reduced from a Class 2 to a Class 4 felony. He was convicted of possession of drugs with the intention to sell.

The judge sentenced Nava to 2 1/2 years in the Arizona state prison system.

90 Day Fiance Star Transforms Into a Famous Prisoner

On September 12, 2018, the former star of 90 Day Fiance made the Marana Community Correctional Treatment Facility AKA ASP-Marana his home. He's now referred to as inmate #329992.

According to Arizona DOC, his prison release date is currently August 9, 2020. The famous prisoner's maximum end date (the latest he can be held in prison on this conviction) is March 9, 2021.

Video: Anfisa Nava Reacts to Jorge's Prison Sentence

The day Jorge made his way to prison, Anfisa Nava posted a YouTube video telling the world how she feels about being a prison wife. In the video, the couple says that Jorge was "profiled" when he was pulled over by the cop.

Anfisa is a Russian-native who married who groom through the 90 Day Fiance series. She's now all alone in the US, stating in the video:

Honestly it feels like Jorge is not the only one serving his sentence but I am too because, now I literally have nobody here in the United States.

I’ve just been trying to stay busy with school and going to the gym. I’m trying not to think about it because whenever I do I get emotional.”

According to Starcasm, Anfisa plans to be a loyal prison wife while Jorge is away. She will have to drive more than 5 1/2 hours for their Arizona prison visits

Jorge Nava Says Marijuana Is Not a Crime

Currently, medical marijuana is legal in only 30 US states. However, only nine states have legalized it for recreational use.

Unfortunately for the Nava couple, Arizona law states that cannabis is only legal for medical cannabis patients. Nava doesn't agree with his sentence saying:

I feel like the whole fact of it, going to prison over the same stuff that’s legal is kinda crazy to me.

The problem is, even in legalized states, a person can only possess up to ONE ONCE of cannabis at one time. Jorge had 293 POUNDS. So, even if marijuana was legalized in Arizona, he would still be in prison.

Anfisa Nava has confirmed that she and her husband are no longer on the 90 Day Fiance reality TV series.
