In the spirit of Prison Break, A Way Out is a collaborative game about prison escape plans. It can be played online or offline between two or more gamers.
It is similar to Prison Break in concept. But, it’s main characters are Leo and Vincent, who are not brothers. This co-op game will debut on March 23, 2018 and will be playable on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
Thrilling Prison Escape Game Creates Emotional Adventure for Gamers
The idea for A Way Out was developed by Josef Fares who also happens to have developed an earlier game, Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons.
A Way Out was designed by Hazelight on the Unreal Engine and to be marketed by EA. The marketer announced the forthcoming prison escape game for two at the Games Awards 2017 while the EA Play 2017 event was held.
“What begins as a thrilling escape quickly turns into an emotional adventure unlike anything seen & played before.
A Way Out is a two-player experience. Each player controls one of the main characters, working together to escape the prison and continue beyond into each character’s lives.”

A Way Out: Full of Car Chases, Melee Fights & Prison Escape Plans
The game is a co-op game, meaning that two players and not one can play it. Two players can be in the same room together or play with each other online. So, there is no reason for everyone to buy A New Out before they can play together.
Only an individual who bought the prison escape game can play with another who does not own a copy of it. An invited gamer will be given a free pass to join the game without necessarily buying it.
The lead characters – Leo and Vincent – whose roles you will assume when you begin playing are convicted felons. They must devise a way to escape from prison and remain undetected by the authorities to live safely in the outside world.
The game promises a feature of “car chases, stealth passages, melee fights and shootouts” among others, EA revealed.
