The Bexar County Medical Examiner has identified the man found dead on Monday as 53-year-old Terry Fox. According to authorities, Terry Fox was in jail for criminal trespass. He had been arrested on October. 5 of this year.
Bexar County Adult Detention Center is having a busy week, though, because Fox’s death comes just six days after Skylab Gonzales, a 36-year-old man who was awaiting trial for murder, was found dead from what was an apparent suicide. According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, he was found at about 2 p.m. in the Bexar County Adult Detention Center.
In a news release, the sheriff’s office said that Gonzales’ death is being investigated by the criminal investigations division, but early information suggests that he committed suicide.
Gonzales was awaiting trial for fatally shooting Stephen Alexander Guenther, who was 37, in an argument that occurred the previous Friday night at around 11 p.m.
A preliminary police report stated that when Gonzales arrived at the home, he and Guenther started arguing.
According to the police report, that’s when Gonzales pulled a gun on both Guenther and one other person who was at the residence. Investigators said that Guenther moved to push the gun away from them, and Gonzales pulled the trigger.
Guenther was shot in the head and rushed to Brooke Army Military Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Gonzales left the scene, but was captured just hours later. His charges were aggravated assault and murder. His bail was set at $225,000.
