Due to an ever changing prison system, prisoners are often released before their official release date. One woman blogged about how her fiance was getting released from prison, explaining all the trials and tribulations of having a fiance return home from prison.
Since her fiance was classified as a low level prisoner, there were a number of possibilities and consequences. First, the prison system could release him to a Los Angeles County Jail Facility in less than two weeks.
She went on to say that if this action went through, visiting him would be much easier as the distance to her home would decrease.
She also said that due to the overcrowding of the Los Angeles County Jail Facility, her fiance could even be released to home even sooner than planned.
Lastly, she said that if her fiance made any mistakes, he would be sentenced to very short time at Los Angeles County Jail on a probation violation rather than being sent to a Los Angeles Prison for a long period of time.
She went on to say that no matter what the outcome, she simply prays her fiance stays sane and that one day soon they can get back together.
So excited to share my tales of a prison fiance~My boo just may be getting closer to home even sooner than we both thought. CDCR is set to begin releasing state prison inmates to the custody of our county jail systems on October , 2011. That’s on 12 more days from now!
This new process is supposed to help with the CA prison overcrowding problem that the federal government ruled must be cleaned up in the next two years. This “shifting of the guards” action only affects low-level prisoners doing time for low-level offenses that are in no way sex-related or child-related.
